Software displaces legacy fault management solutions and provides agile platform for service assurance of fiber network infrastructure
FRISCO, Texas — September 18, 2018 — Federos, the leading provider of next-generation, service management solutions for telecommunications service providers, managed service providers and enterprises, announced today that Georgia Public Web (GPW), an Atlanta-based regional carrier, is using the Federos Assure1™ solution as its unified service assurance platform. GPW is using the agile software platform to augment its existing network management tools, including the removal of Netcool, to unify service management across their fault, performance, topology and HTML multi-tenant portal environment.
“We operate an extensive fiber network, built on a DWDM Backbone, which supports Dedicated Internet Access, Carrier Ethernet, Wavelength Services (10G to 100G and beyond), and TDM Services across SONET Rings. The network is comprised of more than 1,000 devices and provides true physical route diversity,” said Kerry Hull, VP of Operations – CTO at Georgia Public Web. “Federos’ Assure1 simplifies the management of our complex infrastructure, while at the same time adding enhanced performance and service management. With Assure1 we are providing our customers superior quality and reliability end-to-end.”
